The Viennese author Karin Rick has been writing for years about love, sexual identity and desire. Her novels combine cross-over sexual permissiveness with deep feelings.

She majored in Art History and Translation at the University of Vienna, studied in France, Belgium and Spain and taught at the University of Nancy.

She has organized symposiums and translated books, among them Hélène Cixous, Alain Robbe-Grillet, Rachid Mimouni from French into German.
